Lovato Scholarship

Lovato Scholarship

Demi Lovato has partnered with a non-profit organization called Regular Hero to create The Lovato Scholarship in honor of her father, Patrick Lovato, who passed away in part due to untreated mental health and addiction issues.

The Lovato Scholarship covers expenses for individuals struggling with mental health and/or addiction issues, including the costs of Transitional Living and clinical services provided through Outpatient Programs. Demi has battled these issues throughout her life, and she understands what is at stake. However, effective treatment is costly, and many can’t afford the care that they need.

CAST is one of the organizations to which the Lovato Scholarship is awarded in order to help people in need of services who may otherwise not be able to afford them. Demi has selected CAST as one of the Scholarship recipients because she knows the CAST team well, trusts everyone involved and knows that the services provided at CAST are some of the best available.

Demi and the CAST team wish that they could help everyone. While the scholarship can only directly help a small percentage of people, Demi is committed to continuing to speak out on these issues and lend her voice to those in need.

For those who need immediate help and cannot afford treatment, please go to www.samhsa.gov for all of what SAMHSA’s database has to offer.
