Codependency

Codependency.

The definition of codependency is:  a psychological condition or a relationship in which a person is controlled or manipulated by another who is affected with a pathological condition (as an addiction) and in broader terms, it refers to the dependence on the needs of or control of another.

Knowing the right things to do and say to those that struggle with drugs or alcohol is difficult.  Friends and family feel guilt, shame, sadness and anger, and are overall exhausted.  Setting strong boundaries with loved ones and knowing how to relate to those who are addicted requires guidance and support. CAST guides individuals, friends and families through this process in a safe and supportive environment.
